Elenore Doerksen
Finance
Elenore grew up in Calgary with the mountains as her backyard, and while she still loves them, life—and her husband—brought her to Winnipeg. Together they’re raising two teenage daughters and enjoying a family rhythm filled with travel, laughter, and the occasional competitive pickleball match.
A lover of the outdoors, Elenore thrives in hot weather, long lake days, and Manitoba summers. In recent years, cross-country skiing has even made her appreciate (and maybe even enjoy) our winters. She’s grateful to live in a province with four distinct seasons—each one offering something to explore.
Elenore and her husband launched a home-renovation and rental business in 2010, which sparked her appreciation for good systems and meaningful “before-and-after” transformations. Professionally, she has spent more than 20 years in the non-profit sector in roles spanning publishing, communications and events, and denominational investments and loans. She loves creating order, building efficient processes, and helping organizations run smoothly.
Most importantly, Elenore is excited to serve the church in this role. She’s grateful for the opportunity to use her gifts and experience for the good of God’s people and the glory of His name.
