My greatest joy as a biblical counsellor is to read the Bible and pray with and for the women and children God entrusts to my care. I consider it an honour to listen to and explore the life story of the person sitting across from me. Telling our stories — the good, the bad, and the difficult — is a God given gift to help us explore our pain while also recognizing God’s blessings and grace in our lives.

I am a recently certified Biblical Counsellor (as of June 2025) and by God’s grace, I also have a significant amount of life experience. My biblical counselling education includes certification through Gospel Care Collective (an Association of Biblical Counselors training provider) and a level 2 trauma certification through the Christian Trauma Healing Network.

I graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology major, Sociology minor). This, along with my personal experience with counsellors and therapists in the secular world, left me dissatisfied. I knew that something was missing from the world’s approach to the things I struggle with: depression, anxiety, grief, pregnancy loss, marital discord, and an every increasing amount of parenting challenges. Shortly after I began pursuing diligent biblical studies (which included a certification from Millar College of the Bible), I realized that God — the Creator and sovereign sustainer of the world and everything in it — is the key to understanding ourselves, the world we live in, and the suffering we endure.

The most important role in my life is that of Jesus Christ’s disciple. I am also wife to Mike and mom to our five teenage and young adult children. My past work titles include copywriter/blogger, certified personal trainer, kettlebell instructor, and piano and flute teacher. I have volunteered countless hours at my children’s elementary school and at the various churches God has placed me in.

I love to spend time outdoors exploring the world God created. In the cold, dark months of winter, you can find me reading from my never-ending pile of books or watching movies with my family.
